CIVIC is an international Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange project designed to empower young people through digital citizenship, civic participation, and intercultural dialogue. Bringing together partners from the European Union and the Western Balkans, the project creates innovative virtual learning spaces where youth can develop critical thinking, media literacy, and democratic engagement skills.
Through interactive virtual exchanges, gamified learning environments, and youth-led civic campaigns, CIVIC supports young people — especially those from vulnerable and marginalized communities — in becoming active, informed, and resilient digital citizens.
The project focuses on:
CIVIC combines innovative educational methodologies with modern digital platforms to create engaging and accessible learning experiences. Project outcomes, including training materials, civic engagement toolkits, and youth-created digital narratives, will be openly available to support long-term impact across Europe and neighbouring regions.
The CIVIC project brings together a diverse consortium of universities, youth organizations, and educational institutions from across Europe and the Western Balkans, united by a shared commitment to youth empowerment, digital literacy, civic participation, and intercultural dialogue. The partnership includes UCLL – University Colleges Leuven-Limburg (Belgium) as the project coordinator, alongside Hellenic Open University and KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre from Greece, International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren (UUHP), Teach For Kosova (TFK), and LOGOS College from Kosovo, BRAVO – Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the European University of Tirana (UET) and Erasmus Student Network Tirana (ESN Tirana) from Albania.
Together, the partners combine expertise in digital education, virtual exchange, youth work, media literacy, civic engagement, inclusion, and international cooperation to create innovative learning experiences and strengthen active citizenship among young people across the region.
