As digital communication becomes a central part of everyday life, promoting safe and responsible online behavior is increasingly important. While online platforms provide opportunities for communication and collaboration, they can also expose young people to hate speech, cyberbullying, discrimination, and online polarization. Building awareness about respectful online interaction is essential for creating healthier and safer digital environments.
Through the CIVIC project, participants will explore the importance of digital responsibility, respectful communication, and positive online engagement. During virtual exchange activities and workshops, young people will discuss challenges related to online behavior, including hate speech, misinformation, and toxic online interactions, while learning strategies to promote respectful dialogue and digital well-being.
The project encourages participants to reflect on the consequences of online actions and understand the importance of empathy, inclusion, and constructive communication in digital spaces. Through collaborative exercises and intercultural discussions, participants will develop practical skills for navigating online environments responsibly and responding positively to online conflicts or harmful content.
By promoting safe and respectful online participation, CIVIC contributes to creating more inclusive digital communities where young people feel empowered to communicate responsibly, support diversity, and contribute to positive social interaction online.
