Are you between 18 and 30? Do you care about what’s happening in the world around you?
Are you curious about how young people across Europe can work together to build stronger communities? Then we have something exciting to share with you.
The CIVIC project is launching a series of online exchange rounds, and we want you to be part of it.
What is CIVIC?
CIVIC stands for Crafting Innovative Virtual Interactions for Civic Competences. We’re talking about digital citizenship, media literacy, civic engagement, and how we can create more inclusive societies together.
❝ It’s an Erasmus+ funded initiative bringing together young people from Belgium, Greece, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Kosovo to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing our generation today.❞
Starting soon, we’ll be running 32 online rounds over the next 16 months, and we’re expecting to bring together around 2,500 young participants from across our partner countries. The best part? It’s completely free, and you don’t need any special qualifications to join.
Why should you get involved?
If you’ve ever felt frustrated by fake news, witnessed hate speech online, or wondered how you could make a real difference in your community, this is for you. Through CIVIC, you’ll meet young people from different countries and backgrounds, share your ideas, and develop skills that matter in today’s world.
You’ll learn how to spot misinformation, understand digital safety, explore what it means to be a responsible citizen online, and discover how young people across Europe are already making changes in their communities. Plus, you’ll make lasting connections with peers who share your values and concerns.
Who can participate?
We’re looking for young people who are curious, open-minded, and ready to engage with others who see the world differently. Whether you’re in full-time education, working, or looking for your next opportunity, there’s a place for you here. We particularly welcome young people who might not have had the chance to participate in projects like this before.
What happens next?
Registration for the first online rounds will open soon. We’ll announce all the details on our website and social media channels, including specific dates, topics, and how to sign up.
❝ Each round brings a new topic and a fresh group of participants, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved.❞
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing articles about the different topics we’ll be exploring – everything from media literacy and online safety to civic participation and intercultural dialogue. These will give you a taste of what to expect and help you decide which rounds interest you most.
The time to get involved is now
We’re living in a time when young people’s voices are more important than ever. The decisions we make today – about how we communicate online, how we engage with our communities, and how we relate to people who are different from us – will shape Europe’s future.
CIVIC is more than just an online exchange programme. It’s a chance to be part of something meaningful, to develop skills that will serve you throughout your life, and to connect with a generation of young Europeans who believe that things can change.
Keep an eye on this space. Registration details are coming soon, and we can’t wait to meet you.
